Handwriting Monitoring

A handwriting improvement programme, with the sections that are moving — and the ones that have stopped — visible in numbers.

Built for a school's handwriting improvement programme — handwriting only, nothing else. Students in each section are grouped into three tiers by quality: Good, Average, and Needs Improvement. The programme's purpose is to raise the share in Good; this system's job is to make that measurable.

A tier is nobody's opinion: it follows from the average of the last four weekly tests, so one bad day moves no one. The daily class log may only be filled in for the last few days, so a fortnight cannot be invented in one sitting.

The dashboard leads with where to look — sections behind on their log, subjects untested for weeks, sections far below target.

Each family gets a short code that opens their own child's progress. No account, no password.
